周四(9月17日)美元指数周四下挫，此前美联储维持利率不变，因全球经济发展遭遇一系列挑战，美联储还下调了对美国经济的长期预估。
美元指数触及三周低点，美元兑瑞郎跌至两周低点，在美国调整利率轨道后，美元前景蒙尘。
欧元兑美元升至三周高位1.1424美元，纽约尾盘报1.1423美元，大涨1.2%。美元兑日元跌0.5%，报119.92。美元兑瑞郎跌至两周低点，尾盘报0.9598，跌1.2%。
最新的经济预估显示，17位联储决策者中，有13位仍预计年内至少会升息一次，低于6月会议上的15位。四位决策者现认为应至少等到2016年才升息，6月时为两位。
美联储在结束两日会议后发表的政策声明中指出，“近期全球经济和金融市场发展可能在一定程度上限制了经济活动，并可能在短期内给通胀施加进一步下行压力。”
美联储主席耶伦在议息会议后的记者会上表示，每次会议都有可能决定是否升息，并指出10月升息也是有可能的。
