在数据公布后，日本经济财政大臣甘利明表示，日本经济可能将温和复苏，但必须留意海外经济体可能放缓等风险。日本的就业，所得情况改善以及油价下跌的效应可能支撑复苏。甘利明同时称，民间消费，资本支出及房市投资成长，对第一季度GDP增长做出贡献。而海外经济体温和复苏，使得出口对经济成长有所贡献。
日本央行行长黑田东彦(HaruhikoKuroda)周二表示，由于经济状况改善支撑物价呈现普遍上升趋势，目前没有必要放松政策。从周三好于预期的GDP数据看，日本央行扩大刺激政策的概率有所下降。
