美联储官员表示不应在2016年前加息

美国芝加哥联储主席埃文斯(Charles Evans)表示，联邦公开市场委员会不应上调联邦基金利率，直到对1-2年内通胀达到2%有更大信心为止。他还表示，如有必要，美联储也可以降息。美元指数随后震荡回落，刷新日内低位。
埃文斯表示，“美联储‘需要时刻准备’应对任何长期预期会偏离通胀目标2%的迹象。”
他说道：“没有令人信服的理由去急于加息，低通胀率意味着政策不如我们认为的宽松，我们需要对通胀增加更多信心。”
埃文斯指出，低通胀是全球现象，美国不太可能在2018年之前升至2%目标水平 。
他预计，美国接下来几年平均经济增长速度将近3%，平均每月新增就业岗位将在一段时间内保持在20万以上，此后才会向长期趋势水平回落。
对于失业率，埃文斯指出，“5.5%的失业率仍然‘有点高于’正常、可持续的情况。长期正常失业率目标看5%。”
随后埃文斯还表示美联储也可以考虑降息。他说道：“美国经济‘非常强劲’ ，但我们也可以降息。”
他表示，“不过，美国的情况不同。如有需要，美联储或将在未来放松政策。”
埃文斯发表讲话过后，美元指数震荡回落，汇价最低触及96.70，刷新日内新低。
