OPEC无望减产，美国原油看涨情绪恶化

投机商们对美国原油的看涨情绪创20个月以来最低迷水平，因他们对OPEC缓解全球原油供应过剩的意愿失去信心。
美国商品期货交易委员会(CFTC)持仓报告显示，11月4日止当周，货币经理人净削减了8%的西德州轻质原油(WTI)多头头寸，令其多头头寸降至20个月(2013年5月以来)最低水平，空头头寸则在上升。
WTI原油在今年跌入熊市，因美国到利比亚等供应的原油大举扩张，同时来自欧洲、中国等的原油消费疲软。本月，沙特对美国市场的原油售价降价，暗示其希望通过价格优势来争夺市场份额。沙特王国的石油产量占OPEC总产量的三分之一，而由12个国家组建的OPEC集团将举行为期两周的会谈，以讨论并又一次决定原油总供应目标。
策略能源与经济研究董事长在11月7日受访称，市场需要看到OPEC的某种行动，但目前市场看到的唯一行动竟然是沙特对美国降价；这令人们认为，指望OPEC会议“降低产量”恐怕是没希望的。过另有分析认为，如果价格进一步下跌，11月27日会议减产的几率就会增加。如果沙特能说服其他海湾地区国家象征性减产，OPEC的有影响力的联盟形象甚至可能再保持一段时间。
在CFCT报告所覆盖的11月4日止当周，WTI原油价格下跌了4.23美元，跌幅5.2%，至77.19美元/桶并创2011年11月4日以来最低水平。CFTC持仓报告显示，11月4日当周，WTI原油期货及期权汇总的净多头减少1.4580万手，至16.7906万手，创2013年3月以来最低水平；而空头头寸则增加1.3734万手，至8.1089万手合约。同时，汽油的看涨押注下滑1.6%至3.0587万手合约；Nymex原油期货跌5.4%至2.078美元/加仑，创2010年10月以来最低水平。
美国超低硫柴油的看跌押注下降14%，至3.0737万手合约。该燃料在CFTC该报告当周下跌2%，至2.4427美元/加仑。美国天然气的净多头押注几乎增长三倍至5.7517万手合约。
