9月鹰扬金币销售下滑 实物黄金需求增加

路透社报导，美国铸币局（US Mint）网站9月30日公布的数据显示，9月份鹰扬金币的销售量较前月创6年新低的11,500盎司略增加至13,000盎司，但较去年同期的68,500盎司大减81%，也远低于今年1-8月平均接近9万盎司的月均销售量。报导称，金币的销售具有高度的季节性，通常在夏季的时候需求较为低迷，接近年底时在印度节庆需求的带动下则会开始上扬。
贵金属交易商Elemetal Capital交易员Brad Yates表示，8月下旬至9月初，金币的需求一度因为美国可能对叙利亚发起军事行动而有回升，但需求的消退也很快；一方面因为军事行动的危机被缓解了，另一方面也因为许多的避险投资人在今年稍早金价大跌时已经都有买入了。
美国鹰扬银币9月份销量则是较前月的362.5万盎司，下降至301.3万盎司，较去年同期的325.5万盎司年减7%。Yates认为，第四季银币的需求或不会有大幅的提振，除非银价跌破每盎司20美元价位。美国铸币局局长彼得森（Richard Peterson）预估今年该局金银币的销售量可能创下新高纪录达到4,500万枚，高于2012年的3,500万枚。
世界黄金协会（WGC）报告称，今年第二季黄金ETF较去年同期减少超过400公吨，但另一方面，金条金币以及首饰的实物黄金需求则分别较去年同期增加221.7公吨与154.7公吨。美国第二季黄金首饰需求量年增2%至20.3公吨、连续第2个季度呈现上扬；同一时间金条/金币需求量年增将近一倍至24.3公吨。欧洲第二季金条/金币需求量年增14%至85.8公吨。
