美國CPI不及預期，金價逼近千三關口

3月12日，美國公佈的CPI數據不及預期，美元指數短線快速降低，隨後徘徊在97關口。而現貨黃金短線上漲，逼近千三關口，刷新兩個交易日高點。而美國基本面開始呈現比較疲弱的趨勢。
具體數據顯示，美國2月未季調CPI年率公佈值為1.5%，不及前值及預期的1.6%；而2月未季調核心CPI年率為2.1%，也差於預期及前值的2.2%；美國2月未季調CPI指數公佈值為252.8，與預期相符，高於前值的251.7。
此外，美國2月CPI月率錄得四個月來首次上漲，但漲幅並不大，為近兩年半以來最小漲幅。美國勞工部表示，受食品、汽油和租金成本上漲影響，美國2月季調後CPI月率上漲0.2%。
國內和全球經濟增長放緩，抑制了通脹，即使勞動力市場吃緊，推高了工資水準。美聯儲主席鮑威爾上周日重申了今年進一步收緊貨幣政策的觀望態度，並不急於再次調整利率水準。
美國國內勞動力成本一直在上升，勞動力是通貨膨脹最重要的因素。儘管勞動力市場緊縮推動薪資走高，但因美國國內及全球經濟增速放緩，通脹依舊處於可控範圍內。2月美國年化薪資增速錄得3.4%，為2009年4月以來最大增幅。
目前市場對全球經濟增長放緩仍有預期，因此黃金依然受到支撐。進入到2019年，美國基本面開始顯現出較弱的趨勢，過去幾年利率走高對經濟有所打壓，而特朗普的減稅等刺激政策效力將消失。
