美联储理事鲍威尔加入升息阵营
鲍威尔周四华盛顿发表书面演讲时称，“取决于未来数据和风险的变化，可能很快就应该再次加息。”但他补充道，加息的步伐应循序渐进。
同时，鲍威尔对美国经济的评估喜忧参半，他强调了美国劳动力市场强劲，同时也注意到开支和生产率数据令人失望。
鲍威尔称，“就近期而言，我的基准预期情形是美国经济将继续沿着2%的速度增长。”
另外，他还指出，“强势美元的影响正给核心通胀带来压力。美联储仍将致力于达成通胀目标，让外界看到这一点很重要。”
鲍威尔还表示，“美联储决策者的预估点阵图并不代表对未来政策的承诺。委员们没有在就加息协同释放信号。美联储决策过程中不存在任何政治因素。”
在被问及英国脱欧是否会对货币政策构成影响时，鲍威尔回答称，“英国即便脱离欧盟也不会带来广泛的扩散效应，但英国脱欧是需要谨慎加息的原因之一，可能对英国和欧盟的经济增长带来冲击。”
鲍威尔及其美联储同僚将于6月14-15日在华盛顿召开货币政策会议，决定是否启动自去年12月份以来的首次加息。
在之前一连串的官员演讲和公开发言中，一些地区联储主席指出，鉴于美国经济稳定增长以及来自海外的风险减弱，美联储应该在6月份或7月份加息。
