据彭博新闻社报道今年以来上海黄金(1136.40, -0.20, -0.02%)交易所黄金提取量创出纪录，进一步表明，在经历了股市暴跌和人民币意外贬值后，中国的黄金需求正在持续复苏。
根据上海黄金交易所在其网站发布的数据，截至9月18日，黄金提取量从去年同期的1,380.9吨增至1,891.9吨，增幅高达37%。另据交易所发言人刘亮(音)称，作为世界最大现货黄金交易市场的上海金交所今年1-8月的黄金交易量出现了150%的急速增长。
全球黄金价格已从2011年创下的纪录高点下跌大约40%至五年多来的最低水平，由此激发了中国和印度这两个世界最大黄金消费国的消费者需求。印度今年四季度黄金需求有望出现高达15%的增长并创下2002年来的最高水平。中国8月份来自香港的黄金净进口量同比增长一倍以上，同时瑞士对中国黄金出口也较7月份大幅增长了49%。
