沙特阿拉伯原油部长Ali Al-Naimi在周二(4月28日)称，公平而又稳定的原油价格将有利于生产商和消费者，并使全球的原油供求稳步增长。
部长说，自从去年6月以来全球油价下跌了将近50%已经帮助了亚洲的经济增长，同时也给很多原油生产商提出了艰巨的挑战。
“原油是一项长期的商业经营，需要长期的规划和投资。”Naimi在北京沙特阿美公司新研发中心的落成典礼上提到。
“原油价格的跌宕起伏并不招人喜欢，确保价格的稳定是为了我们所有人的利益。”
他引用了中国在2008年安抚市场时所作的贡献，当时油价激升到147美元/桶。
在去年11月份沙特阿拉伯和OPEC国家拒绝减少产量而一致认为要保持市场份额来对抗来自其他供应源的竞争之后，自去年年中开始的油价下跌日趋加剧。
Naimi重申沙特承诺一定会保证亚洲的原油供应。
“亚洲对原油的需求依然很旺盛，而我们定会有求必应。”
“原油将依旧处在其优越的位置，而沙特阿拉伯将继续是第一原油供应国。”
Naimi在上周向媒体透露，沙特作为世界第一的原油出口国，在4月份每天的产量接近创纪录的1000万桶。
沙特正在试图同已经超过美国而成为该国最大贸易伙伴的中国在原油天然气方面加深合作。
沙特的原油巨头Saudi Armaco和Sinopec分别在沙特的廷布和中国的福建合资经营炼油厂。
