中国黄金持有量10年后将超美国

各国央行在2012年买进了大约535吨黄金，是自1964年以来的最高水平。而在2013年，金价大跌28%的环境中，各国央行所购买的黄金总量有所减少，到第三季度末总共为218吨。
2009年，各国央行们从当了20年的黄金卖方变成了黄金买方。中国作为全球最大的黄金消费国，中国央行自然也同样受到黄金市场的关注。中国黄金储备的官方数字是1054吨，但这一数字自2009年4月后就没有再更新过。
有传闻称中国央行购买了大约6000吨黄金，包括2013年前6个月中的300吨。这被认为是中国在转变外汇储备多为美元的局面。数据显示，黄金只占中国外汇储备3.8万亿中的1%，相较之下美国外汇储备中70%是黄金，总共8166吨。
在彭博近期的一份报告中，预计中国央行所持有的黄金量是其官方数字的2.5倍。
“在调整了从香港地区的净进口和国内产量后，这个数字将接近5086公吨，包括中国央行持有和私人持有。将作为金饰用和工业等其它用途的黄金去掉，再加上隐含需求的央行持有金条，这个数字在2710公吨左右。”
报告还称：“从中国对黄金的消费以及供应和其它运用以及央行增量来看，中国需要10年的时间才能在黄金持有量方面赶上美国。以2013年的运行率来看，中国央行可能增加了622公吨的持有量。”
中国还是全球最大的黄金生产国之一，2013年估计产量在440吨左右。中国的黄金消费则在2013年增长29%超过了1000吨，超越印度成为全球第一大黄金消费国。
