受政府限制 印度金银进口额年间68.8%

印度媒体《Press Trust of India》1月10日报导，2013年12月，印度金银进口额较去年同期的56亿美元年减68.8%至17.7亿美元，主要因为政府限制进口措施的影响，但此仍高于前月的10.5亿美元。本财政年度以来（4-12月），印度金银进口额较去年同期的392亿美元年减30.3%至273亿美元。受到金银进口减少的影响，印度12月贸易赤字也较去年同期的175亿美元缩减42%至101亿美元，4-12月贸易赤字较去年同期的1,468亿美元缩减至1,100亿美元。
印度《商业标准报》报导，受到去年4月金价大跌的影响，印度本财年前两个月的黄金进口量就达到304公吨，但随后政府提高黄金进口关税至10%，并推出80/20黄金进口限制措施（进口黄金需有20%用于再出口），这使得去年6-12月的黄金进口量仅152公吨，只有4-5月份的一半。而今年1-3月情况似乎没有好转迹象，业界预估黄金进口量约60-70公吨。
金价与银价去年双双创下自1981年以来的最大年度跌幅，矿商也因此承受更多压力。贝莱德集团（BlackRock Inc.）全球矿业基金经理Evy Hambro上周五（1月10日）表示，由于矿企不断削减成本，并转向收益更高的矿山，如果未来多数矿企继续以上述形式来维持收支平衡，则黄金产量将很快开始下滑。数据显示，2013年费城证券交易所（Philadelphia Stock Exchange Gold）黄金白银指数下滑49%，因美国经济持续改善，降低贵金属的避险保值作用。
2013年迫于金价下跌的压力，巴瑞克黄金公司（Barrick Gold Corp）曾相继出售旗下位于澳大利亚的三座矿山，同时巴瑞克执行长Jamie Sokalsky也强调，未来还会进一步出售公司旗下的资产。另外，哈莫尼黄金公司（Harmony Gold Mining Co.）近期也表示将进一步削减成本，其中包括设备以及勘探的支出。
