罗马尼亚政府拟收回欧洲最大金矿项目

Rosia Montana是欧洲最大的露天金矿。据报道，该矿存有黄金1710万盎司，白银811万盎司，就在罗马尼亚总理表示将允许该国Rosia Montana的金矿项目启动后不久，这个命运多舛的项目又遭遇转折。
罗马尼亚总统Traian Basescu要求政府撤销之前同意启动的Rosia Montana金矿开采项目，Basescu认为这一议案是违宪的。
Basescu说：”最好的解决方法是政府撤回议会的草案。”
两周前针对这个项目就开始有数千人规模的抗议者聚集在罗马尼亚首都布加勒斯特。在有关该金矿项目将使用数千吨的氰化物的消息传出后，抗议规模迅速壮大。在2000年1月，罗马尼亚境内曾因为金矿污水沉淀池因积水暴涨发生漫坝，导致10多万升含有大量氰化物、铜和铅等重金属的污水冲泄到多瑙河，严重破坏了多瑙河流域的生态环境，并引发了国际诉讼。
Rosia Montana的项目属于加拿大矿企Gabriel Resources。之前罗马尼亚总理Victor Ponta曾经因为该项目带来的大量就业机会而支持启动，因为该项目可带来2000人的就业规模，但随后却忽然反悔，反对该项目。
然而，即使罗马尼亚政府收回批准，该项目也不一定能被终止，Gabriel Resources已经在准备倘若该项目最终被罗政府终止，则将寻求诉讼控告罗马尼亚政府违反国际投资条约。
