美國衆議院民主黨人周一公布了一攬子增稅方案，但最高稅率與總統拜登的3.5萬億美元的經濟議程的要求有些出入。民主黨提議把企業稅上限從21%提高到26.5%，低于拜登要求的28%。資本利得稅上限從20%提高到25%，低于拜登要求的39.6%。 如果算上對高收入者征收3.8%的醫療保險附加稅，最高資本利得稅將達到28.8%。美國衆議院籌款委員會將于周二就該提案展開辯論。
美國8月消費者通脹預期達到4%，創曆史新高
