有消息稱，第一批新冠疫苗正在向美國各地加速運輸，最早可能於週一開始接種，這一消息提振了人們對疫情開始逆轉的希望，並給股市帶去提振。
紐市盤中，美元指數大幅反彈，盤中一度較日低回升43點至90.85，這令金價承壓。
分析師稱，投資者們此時或許不該交易，應該等待1月再入場。黃金市場形成了短期頭肩形態，如果跌破頸線1825美元/盎司支撐，那麼可能走低再次測試11月低位。
分析師對金價短期持中性態度，不過長期還是看漲。他認為本周金價可能會繼續在窄幅區域內波動，略偏上行。此前在跌破200日均線後沒有大幅走低，因此仍對黃金看漲。金價或許已經觸底了。
雖然主要央行仍在為經濟提供支持，但因為疫苗研製進展和經濟復蘇跡象削弱了黃金的需求，黃金將錄得自2018年以來的首次季度下跌。本周，投資者將密切關注美聯儲今年的最後一次會議，市場普遍預期其資產購買計畫將獲得新的指引。
