3月24日，市場上的供應擔憂情緒推動貴金屬行情飆升，現貨黃金漲幅達到5%，創下近日以來的新高點，因為最近各國央行新出臺得經濟刺激政策讓投資者暫停了變現得操作，金價出現明顯增加。
世界上最大的三家黃金煉廠表示，受疫情影響，他們已暫停在瑞士的生產至少一周，這也給金價帶去提振。
加拿大兩家銀行的分析師表示，美聯儲無限量購買美國國債和抵押貸款支持證券對黃金來說是一個潛在的“遊戲規則改變者”，投資者應該趁下跌的機會買進黃金。美聯儲為給遭受新冠疫情重創的經濟止血，其行動力度比2008年金融危機期間“更加激進”。受潛在的新一輪刺激措施影響，週二現貨黃金價格一度漲5%，就此高盛集團表示，金價可能正處於拐點，已經到了買進的時機。接近零利率、市場不確定性和持續的流動性注入，為黃金和白銀提供了上漲的條件。
現貨白銀漲逾7%，刷新3月16日以來高點至14.30美元/盎司，遠離上周錄得的2009年1月下旬以來低點11.641美元/盎司。、冠狀病毒肺炎全球大流行，已經導致全球多個礦區停擺，大量產能限制。2018年我們總共生產白銀8.55億盎司；但今年以來，我們已關閉總計高達2.135億盎司的白銀產能；分別是秘魯1.45億盎司，智利4200萬盎司，阿根廷2650萬盎司。
實物白銀市場和紙白銀市場存在根本脫節，近期白銀價格完全是金融投機因素，與供需基本面變化無關；對我們來說，此前白銀價格跌至逾10年新低只能表明，衍生品市場時常會出現荒謬走勢，人們不得不做空，不反應現實供求。
