疲軟製造業支撐金價

12月24日，現貨黃金刷線近日來的最高點，除了國際貿易局勢缺乏細節而支撐金價外，美國企業設備支出呈疲軟狀態，市場擔憂其會拖累整體經濟，同時對美國未來經濟的發展有一定憂慮，避險情緒升溫支持金價。
即使企業信心在2020年初有所改善，資本支出激增也不太可能出現。波音(BA.N)上周宣佈，將于明年1月停產其最暢銷機型波音737 MAX噴氣客機，這一機型曾發生兩起致命的墜機事故。波音公司週一罷免了首席執行長Dennis Muilenburg。在全球經濟成長遲滯、貿易政策持續不確定和企業獲利能力疲弱的環境下，2020年工業將保持疲弱，波音停止生產737 MAX機型的決定將繼續拖累訂單。
核心耐用品訂單上個月下降了0.3%。在政府的GDP指標中，核心耐用品訂單被用來計算設備支出。10月份核心耐用品訂單下修為增長0.7%，前值為增長0.8%。經濟學家表示，核心耐用品訂單疲弱給第四季度GDP增長預期帶來了下行風險。預計第四季度GDP年化增長率在1.5%-2.3%的區間。第三季度經濟增長2.1%。
儘管製造業舉步維艱，但在美聯儲今年三次降息的推動下，房地產市場正在穩步上升。美國商務部在週一發佈的第二份報告中稱，上個月經季節因素調整後的新屋銷售年率為71.9萬套，反彈1.3%，受助於美國東北部和西部地區銷售增加。
不過，10月份的銷售增速從此前公佈的73.3萬套下調至71萬套。新屋銷售月度環比波動較大，因為它們是從建築許可中選取的一小部分房屋樣本來計算的。新屋銷售同比增長16.9%。花旗集團經濟學家Veronica Clark稱，我們預計樓市活動將繼續受到目前較低抵押貸款利率和美聯儲按兵不動的支撐，但預計2020年樓市活動不會進一步大幅升溫。
企業投資已經連續兩個季度收縮，在設備，以及油氣鑽井等非住宅結構方面的支出疲軟，導致製造業陷入衰退。波音公司20多年來最大的裝配線停工預計將擾亂供應鏈，進一步抑制製造業。經濟學家們估計，停產737 MAX飛機可能會使2020年第一季度國內生產總值增幅至少下降0.5個百分點。
