現貨黃金上行乏力，FED遭新一輪“文攻”
周三(12月8日)，現貨黃金上行乏力，美元持堅限制了金價反彈勢頭。盡管存在規避現有疫苗的可能，但Omicron影響可能不如其他新冠變體那樣嚴重。美國銀行業高管警告稱，高通脹可能減緩美國經濟成長。這加重了美聯儲被迫更快收水的壓力。
Omicron患者症狀輕
美國國家過敏暨傳染病研究所所長福奇(Anthony Fauci)周二表示，初步證據表明，Omicron新冠變體的傳播性可能更強，但引發的症狀沒那麽嚴重。“迄今為止，看起來並沒有很大程度的嚴重性。“
福奇補充說，雖然還需要更多的數據，但早期Omicron病例需要住院治療的似乎更少，患者不太會需要吸氧。他預計下周會有更多的數據，但還需要幾周才能得出任何明確的結論。
豐業銀行首席外彙策略師Shaun Osborne在一份報告中稱：“這似乎正發展為一種廣泛市場都認為說得通的理論，即目前，該變種似乎比Delta(變種)更具傳染性，但不那麽致命。”
澳大利亞國民銀行外彙策略主管Ray Attrill在一份研報中寫道：“市場繼續保持樂觀，認為即使Omicron更具傳播性，引發的疾病不會像以前的變體那樣嚴重。”
由于Omicron變種導致的病例臨床症狀表現普遍較輕，新變種對金融市場的影響可能只是一場短暫的陣雨，預計上周開啓的避險模式將得到逆轉，金價很快就會轉跌。
出行限制仍阻礙複蘇
但南非非洲衛生研究所(Africa Health Research Institute)教授Alex Sigal周二說，Omicron變體可以部分逃避輝瑞和合作夥伴BioNTech新冠疫苗的保護。
白宮新冠應對協調員Jeff Zients在新聞發布會上說，美國正在不斷重新評估Omicron病毒最初發現時對一些南部非洲國家實施的旅行限制，但這些限制將在“一段合理時間內”保持。
據航空公司和機場官員稱，由Omicron新冠病毒變體引發的新旅行限制使國際航班業務剛剛開始的複蘇受挫，在一些地區造成延誤和麻煩。一系列新的檢測規定和邊境關閉在重要的聖誕旅行季節前引發人們的擔憂。
黃金投資者目前比較糾結，一方面通脹和疫情不確定性支撐金價走高；但另一方面，對美國收緊貨幣政策和美元走強的預期上升，這些都是讓投資者感到沮喪的因素。
