疫情擔憂揮之不去，美元創逾二周新高
周一(8月9日)受樂觀美國數據提振，美元指數尾盤升0.21%，報92.97，為7月23日以來最高，距離四個月高位93.19不遠；不過交易員密切關注美國新增病例數攀升的情況。
周一的數據顯示，美國6月職位空缺躍升，創紀錄新高，招聘數量增加。上周五公布的美國月度就業報告顯示，美國7月就業崗位增幅創近一年來最多，薪資繼續上漲。
上周五報告公布後，美元大幅上漲，樂觀的就業消息幫助支撐了美聯儲可能更快采取行動收緊貨幣政策的觀點。聯儲官員已將就業市場複蘇作為收緊貨幣政策的條件。
美國銀行：曆史經驗預示下半年美元會大幅上漲
美國銀行表示，從“曆史性異常的”市場和經濟狀況判斷，美元下半年的漲勢可能比該行之前的預期還要強。高級外彙策略師Ben Randol周一在報告中寫道，與以前的經濟衰退相比，此次經濟從Covid-19衝擊中複蘇，帶來股票和大宗商品的更強勁上漲以及更高的通脹率。雖然股市現在可能走弱，但強勁的財政擴張可能會導致貨幣政策收緊，預示美元的全面升值。展望未來，曆史經驗表明會有一個6-12個月的股市疲軟、國債收益率上漲期，這些是可能普遍拖累風險資産的條件，進而支撐美元。

荷蘭合作銀行：英國央行的決定可能促使進一步削減對英鎊的押注
投機者可能會繼續削減做空英鎊的頭寸，此前英國央行在上周四的會議上暗示，未來兩年將適度收緊貨幣政策。CFTC數據顯示，在英國央行委員桑德斯和副行長拉姆斯登暗示短期內可能縮減刺激措施後，英鎊空頭倉位在截至8月3日的當周大幅下降。荷蘭合作銀行外彙策略師Jane Foley表示，7月中旬兩位貨幣政策委員會（MPC）成員的鷹派講話，轉化為8月初英國央行政策會議上的更鷹派傾向。這可能會在接下來的數據中為英鎊的淨頭寸提供進一步支撐。
