黃金錄得新高，美指開始反彈

現貨黃金在3月5日陸渡一周新高，因美元指數在反彈後重新轉跌，刷新了近段時間的低位，美聯儲在緊急降息後，市場預期美聯儲為應對全球公共衛生事件所推行的寬鬆政策的空間比其他央行的要的很多，將對美元構成下行壓力。
美國眾議院週三還以壓倒多數通過了一項83億美元的議案，以遏制公共衛生風險繼續惡化。該議案已提交至參議院等待最終批准。
美聯儲在距離最近一次既定政策會議日程還有兩周時間的情況下提前變更利率，也是自2008年金融危機以來首次緊急降息，這令投資者感到驚訝，突顯出市場對美國公共衛生形勢惡化的擔憂，美元和黃金恢復了以往的負相關關係。
克利夫蘭聯儲主席梅斯特週三表示，她支持美聯儲週二緊急降息50個基點的決定，並稱圍繞經濟前景的風險已明顯增加。如果全球公共衛生事件影響的不確定性持續下去，其引發的供應衝擊可能會對需求側產生影響。
大量勞工因病被隔離，或者工作場所為了控制病毒擴散而關閉，工作崗位因為經濟原因而消失，原本健康且可以上班的人也不得不待在家裡。
消費是美國經濟的支柱。而無論上述哪一種情況出現，都很可能急劇抑制消費者支出。投資者對全球最大經濟體增長前景的擔憂，促使其繼續持有避險黃金。
儘管美國的利率目標區間仍有進一步大幅下降的空間，但在其他大型發達經濟體，利率已經長時期低於或接近零，那些國家的貨幣決策當局進一步降息空間相當小。
日本央行的政策決定可能仍有相當大的懸念，因為日本央行的部分決策者認為，貨幣政策在消除人們對公共衛生風險的擔憂方面基本不起作用。
如果全球公共衛生形勢惡化長期得不到扭轉，美聯儲年內降息空間將達到100個基點。資產負債表規模也或將重新加速擴大。投資者應採取防禦性態度——做空美元，並增持美債以及黃金。
