黃金收回跌幅，但走勢並不順利

2月26日，現貨黃金出現反彈，但美元指數保持穩定限制了金價的上漲，而美國疾控中心就可能出現的疫情爆發發出警告，但是美聯儲官員未公共衛生事件和利率政策前景發展掛鉤，目前美國消費者資訊小幅上升，按時消費者支出比較穩健。
伊朗和義大利以及韓國的情況惡化，加劇了發生新冠病毒大流行的風險，美國警告說不可避免會出現大流行局面，驅動全球股市下挫。
韓國公佈新增確診病例169人，其中包括駐韓美國軍人。據韓國中央防疫對策本部(KCDC)稱，新增病例中有134人來自大邱，據信病毒是在新天地教會的教友間傳染。
伊朗的新冠病毒死亡病例週二升至16例，伊朗衛生部副部長和一名議員也被確診感染。科威特週三表示，從伊朗返回的人中發現兩個新冠狀病毒確診病例。目前該國總共確診11例。
由於公共衛生風險打亂了多數國家地區的貿易和供應鏈，投資者對經濟活動可能會放緩感到極度憂慮。因為除美聯儲外，其他全球主要央行的指標利率已經處於紀錄低點，進一步放寬空間有限。黃金市場近期動盪不安。
不過據華爾街日報週二報導，達拉斯聯儲主席卡普蘭在提到央行利率政策與全球公共衛生事件時表示：“要判斷全球公共衛生事件與貨幣政策可能會有什麼關聯性還為時過早。我仍然認為，還需要幾周時間才能判斷”是否需要調整利率。
大田環球表示：“總的來說，美國人對未來感到樂觀。如果這種情況持續下去，消費者對未來的信心可能有助於保持消費者支出的平穩，而目前在企業投資處於低谷之際，經濟全靠消費者推動。”
美國2月消費者信心小幅上升，暗示消費者支出步伐穩健，可能支撐經濟。雖然圍繞全球公共衛生事件的變數很大，但尚且無法斷定美聯儲絕對有必要加大寬鬆，這可能是現在牽制金價大幅上漲少有的阻力了。
