金價維持當前震盪走勢，由於市場對美國經濟前景以及英國大選的樂觀預期，加上美聯儲鷹派作風，金價受到較大打壓，但全球貿易局勢不確定性仍在，同時市場仍需留意特朗普彈劾等相關消息。
美國第三季度經濟增長略有回升，而非最初報告顯示的放緩，主要原因在於庫存積累速度加快，商業投資下降幅度減少。不過，有跡象表明，在消費者支出降溫和商業投資不斷下滑的情況下，第四季度初經濟放緩。消費者支出正獲得低失業率的支持。但就業增長放緩、消費者信心下降和工資增長停滯，都讓人們對消費的彈性產生了懷疑。
在製造業方面，儘管大多數地區仍然沒有增長，不過本次報告期的擴張地區數量比前一期有所增加。非金融服務業的前景仍然相當樂觀，大多數地區報告的增長都比較溫和。
美聯儲主席鮑威爾再度釋放鷹派基調。週一美聯儲主席鮑威爾再度發表偏鷹派言論。他表示，貨幣政策“處於良好位置”，以支持強勁的就業市場。
美聯儲10月實施了今年第三次降息，將目標利率區間下調至1.5-1.75%。鮑威爾和其他美聯儲官員在這次降息後暗示，除非經濟前景惡化，否則在可預見的將來將按兵不動。
全球貿易局勢目前還有很大的不確定性，投資者仍然要保持謹慎。目前，市場傳達給投資者的情緒還是相對偏向樂觀的，但投資者也不能掉以輕心。
為打破“脫歐”僵局，詹森此前要求在12月12日舉行大選。在最近的一次電視辯論中，他再次舉起手中的“脫歐”底牌，承諾將會實施他與歐盟之間協商的“脫歐”協議——帶領英國在2020年1月31日前脫歐，並就英國與歐盟的長期關係達成一份貿易協定。
當前多數市場人士仍然認為，如果詹森所在的保守黨獲得多數席位，英國經濟將會得到提振。分析認為，在上述假設情景中，新版“脫歐”協議將得以在議會獲得通過。若如此，企業和消費者信心及情緒將有所恢復，從而對英國股市形成一定利好。
特朗普直面彈劾危機，彈劾已進入調查決策階段。目前看來，特朗普彈劾的危機並沒有計入市場價格，市場並不認為特朗普會被彈劾。不過，投資者也不能完全忽視該因素，以防止黑天鵝事件出現。
