美債收益率下跌壓垮美元
12月4日，現貨黃金創下一個月新高，因美元指數大幅度走軟，中美貿易關係緩和，美國國債收益率下跌，進一步加劇了市場對美聯儲可能提前終止加息週期的憂慮。同時因歐洲表示，英國有權單方面撤回推出歐盟的通知，脫歐可能是一場鬧劇，英鎊匯率大漲，進一步打壓美元。
現貨金價盤中創10月26日以來新高至1241.18美元/盎司；美指錄得近八個交易日新低96.356；英鎊兌美元創近三個交易日新高1.2838。
2018年多數時候，強勁的美國經濟以及立場相對偏鷹派的美聯儲一直在支撐美元。外界預計，美聯儲12月18-19日政策會議上加息的機率為87%。
近期美元之所以走軟，最主要因為中美貿易休兵鼓勵投資者賣出避險美元，買入較高風險資產。市場若能看到貿易緊張局勢進一步緩解的信號，風險意願則會繼續增強。
美元上周開始承壓，還因為當時市場認為，美聯儲發表的偏溫和言論令市場考慮2019年升息次數的問題。
但美國10年期公債收益率週二跌至2.94%，為9月中旬以來最低，2年期/10年期美債收益率差也縮窄至2007年7月以來最低水準。
分析師說：“美債收益率下跌對美元不利，特別是不利於美元兌主要貨幣。美債收益率目前接近重要技術支撐水位，若跌破支撐位，可能對美債收益率及美元造成進一步壓力。”
英鎊兌美元週二暴漲，重回1.28關口上方，並錄得近三個交易日新高的1.2838。因歐洲法院助理表示，英國有權單方面撤回退出歐盟的通知。當前正值英國議會就首相特雷莎·梅的脫歐方案開始展開為期五天辯論，且將在下週二(12月11日)進行表決。
但英國政府發言人的最新表態稱，歐洲法院助理的建議並不是最終裁決，建議無助於改變政府的立場，里斯本條約第50條不會被撤銷。
該案是由反對英國脫歐的蘇格蘭政界人士向歐洲法院提起。他們希望如果法院裁決對他們有利，將可能為舉行第二次公投鋪路，從而讓選民們可以選擇留在歐盟。
首相特雷莎·梅政府週一極力為脫歐協議辯護，概述了議會應支持其脫歐計畫的法律依據。但週一向議會提交政府收到的法律建議的舉措似乎適得其反，多名議員加強了對脫歐協議的批評。
如果特雷莎·梅僥倖贏得議會表決，英國將在3月29日根據已協商條款退出歐盟——標誌著英國逾40年來最大的貿易及外交政策轉變；若未能通過，特雷莎·梅或將要求進行對該協議進行第二次表決。
