投资纸黄金有风险吗？虽然现时大多数商业银行推出的纸黄金业务都是无杠杆保证金的百分百本金交易，我们投资纸黄金必须按纸黄金价格全额买入，而且在没有买入纸黄金的情况下，不能作卖出处理，但是持有纸黄金，银行不会收取客户利息，因此纸黄金投资者在只能单向交易的情况下，一般会长期持有，要是像短线类型的杠杆保证金机制的黄金投资品种，如现货黄金、现货白银或贵金属期货品种一样频繁交易，很容易就会被套。
由于投资者相信黄金拥有天然的保值功能，投资纸黄金能够利用黄金保值套取额外收益，因此纸黄金被长期持有，然而我们在做纸黄金长线投资计划以前，需考虑到黄金价格的后市变化，这时候留意消息面带来的相关指引就显得十分重要，例如某客户的理财计划中，投资产品包括纸黄金、现货金、股指、国债，而国内的纸黄金品种以人民币报价，当人民币兑美元中间价下跌时，以纸币资产为基础的国债价格则受压，纸黄金则会上涨，同理，当人民币兑美元中间价上涨时，以纸币资产为基础的国债价格则获提振，纸黄金则会下跌，而国内的风险情绪高低则与股指价格走势呈正相关，风险情绪升高则引发纸黄金被抛售。所以纸黄金的风险大小受制于消息面带来的负向推动力大小，负面推动力过大，导致金价无法回升至买入时的位置，错过最佳平仓机会的投资者只能长期持有，持有时长则按现货黄金行情的上涨幅度而定。
建议投资者在买入纸黄金之前，对自身未来的个人理财计划做明确框架，例如设置不同品种的投资理财计划，这样分散投资风险的同时也能获取额外收益，在进入纸黄金交易市场之前，先确定纸黄金行情的总体趋势是处于上行通道，在高位筑顶时期锁定盈利目标，有时止盈不及时，继续追涨的话，反而会让浮动盈利减少，最后更是导致亏损，因此要合理设置纸黄金挂单的盈利计划。
