伦敦金报价的撮合采用市商制度，即黄金交易商作为搭建投资的桥梁，在交易软件上提供黄金买入价与卖出价，交易者再经由该交易软件的报价作为实时行情的买卖依据，由此产生的买价与卖价之间的价差，则被称为伦敦金点差。比如金商要买入黄金，他的出价为1200.0美元/盎司，他同时卖出黄金，报价为1200.5美元/盎司，那么，中间的差价就是他的利润，如果你想要买入黄金，那么你就得以1200.5的价格来买入，如果你想卖出黄金，那么你就只能以1200.0的价格卖出。

伦敦金点差是交易商唯一收取的佣金费用，所以伦敦金点差的收费基本由交易商制定，不同的交易商提供的点差费用均有所不同。大多交易商会把伦敦金的点差规定在0.5美元/盎司的范围内，假设投资者买入一手伦敦金合约，则需要支付的点差费用为0.5美元*100盎司=50美元。
