黄金期权是什么：黄金期权是买卖双方在未来约定的价位具有购买一定数量标的的权利，而非义务，如果价格走势对期权买卖者有利，则会行使其权利而获利，如果价格走势对其不利，则放弃购买的权利，损失只有当时购买期权时的费用。买卖期权的费用（或称期权的价格）由市场供求双方力量决定。
由于黄金期权买卖涉及内容比较多，期权买卖投资战术也比较多且复杂，不易掌握，目前世界上黄金期权市场并不多。
黄金期权投资的优点也不少，如具有较强的杠杆性，以少量资金进行大额的投资；如是标准合约的买卖，投资者则不必为储存和黄金成色担心；具有降低风险的功能等等。
对于期权的买方(期权的持有者)来说，购买期权并没有立即得到商品，而是购买到一种权利，这种权剩使他可以在合同到期日前的时期内以有利的价格购买或者出售一定数量商品或者期货，也可以在价格不利的情况下自动放弃这种权利。
