波段操作的择点。比较适合波段操作的点位在筑底阶段会有不自然的反复现象，量能的有效放大显示出有增量资金在积极介入。因为，资金不会在基本面利空和技术面走坏的双重打击下蜂拥建仓的，所以，这时的放量说明了有部分恐慌盘正在不计成本的出逃，而放量时金价保持不跌恰恰证明了有资金正在乘机建仓。因此，就可以推断未来行情中极有短期伦敦金套利机会。
波段操作的的买入时机，要参考筑底中心区域，反复震荡的筑底行情往往会自然形成某一中心区域，大盘将会围绕这一中心区反复盘旋，当指数上涨过急，就会重新跌回中心区；当指数下跌过度，也会反弹回来。投资者可以根据这种特性，选择在大盘下跌，远离其筑底中心区时，这是积极买入的最佳时机。
黄金交易波段操作的卖出时机，则应视情况而定。在大盘筑底过程中，会有多次脉冲式上涨行情，但真正的突破性上涨行情只有一次。识别上涨行情是否属于突破性质的最重要依据是黄金价格波动幅度和成交量，当波动幅度和量能均不断收缩达到临界点时，所爆发的快速上涨行情，属于突破性上涨行情，这时投资者可适当追涨。对于其它的脉冲式上涨行情，稳健的投资者或短线技巧不娴熟的投资者尽量不要参与，如果手中持有获利，可以乘机卖出。
