黄金凭证

黄金凭证英文称之为Gold Certificate ，为美国财政部在南北战争到1933年所发行的证书，又叫做金元券，可兑换等值黄金，并以美元计算，1933年后停止流通。
时至今日，黄金凭证变成投资者投资黄金的方法之一，也是目前国际投资黄金的主要方式之一。黄金凭证由个别银行发行（特别是德国及瑞士）。凭证上除注明黄金之购买日期、重量、规格及成色之外，也保证投资者随时提取所购买黄金的权利。透过黄金凭证，投资者可以免除持有实体黄金与保管、仓储的负担。
在交易方面，投资者如有进出需求，还是可以按当时的牌价将黄金凭证卖出变现，或者通过背书在市场上流通。然而，黄金凭证对于发行机构需要支付一定的佣金。
黄金凭证的优点在于凭证本身就相当于黄金的集合，与金价的连动性高，具有高度的便利性，在世界各地都可以转换为黄金部位，免除了储存与保管的麻烦。权威金融机构发行的凭证，在世界主要市场均可以提取黄金。黄金凭证和实体黄金一样，并无杆杠效应；购入相关凭证需要大量资金，而且若需提取数量较大的黄金，也须提前预约。就交易方面，黄金凭证真伪辨别上有其难度，此外，黄金凭证还会收取保管费用。
注：背书（Endorsement）指收款人以转让票据权利为目的在汇票上签章并作必要的记载所作的一种附属票据行为。
