黄金基金

黄金基金是指专门投资黄金生产企业股票的投资基金，并不直接持有黄金，是类股型基金的一种，投资于全球与黄金、贵重金属、天然资源及矿物有关公司的股票。
投资方式为借由开采黄金矿业公司股票的涨跌而获利。
投资者在布局黄金基金时，须注意以下事项：
1.矿业公司股价与金价走势不一定一样
黄金基金是投资全球矿业公司的股票，由于企业受成本、当地政治、金融市场及外汇等系统风险或个别公司的非系统风险影响，当市场爆发全球性风险事件，如：金融海啸又或是欧洲债信风暴，股市崩跌之际，黄金矿业公司股票也无法置身事外。即便如此，黄金现货走势却仍然相当坚挺。
就波动率观察，黄金现货年波动率大概不到20%，但是黄金基金的年波动率却往往在20%以上，所以投资者除了要注意黄金基金的投资标的并非黄金现货之外，也要注意黄金基金布局可能带来的风险。
2.应灵活操作或定期定额，不建议单笔长期持有
黄金为特定产业类别，其涵盖市场较为狭小，因此风险相对较为集中，而且交易量及流动性皆不及一般其他热门产业。黄金类股价格波动性较为可观，波段高低档不易掌握，因此不建议入门投资以单笔投资的方式布局。若有兴趣投资黄金基金，建议应以定期定额方式进行。另外由于黄金矿业股票主要受股市周期影响，建议投资者最好观察股市循环高出低进灵活操作，其报酬可能相对长期持有可观。
综合来说，黄金基金在操作上有其便利性，投资门槛相对较低，但投资标的与黄金现货并未直接相关，因此未具有黄金连结商品之避险效果，风险也相对较高。一般投资者在布局之前可能要先了解其风险所在，并掌握投资方式。
