贵金属交易必须重视资金管理，并且资金管理是成为投资高手的必由之路，那么到底什么是资金管理呢？资金管理的作用又是什么呢？
资金管理是指投资者对个人资金在投资方向和投资节奏上的管理，其中包括投资组合的设计、整体账户的风险承受度、每笔交易的初始风险承受度、如何设定交易规模、如何进行仓位调整、账户的整体增长期望值、在顺境或挫折阶段的交易方式等方面。
一般来说，技术分析主要是针对黄金开户者何时买卖黄金和白银的问题；而资金管理主要是针对买卖多少的问题。
为什么一个成功率达到80%的投资者却最终亏损，而一位成功率仅有30%的投资者却最终盈利？原因就在他们的资金分配方式和资金管理技巧上。
资金管理的两原则
1、仓位（投入多少）
仓位是指投资者在贵金属投资品种上的持仓数量或资金投入。仓位往往有两种界定方式：
- 额定仓位，即计划在某金属投资品种上的持仓数量或资金投资总额
- 流动仓位，即仓位将有一个从零到部分额满直至全额，而后又逐渐减至零的过程，它始终处于一种流动的状态。
对于仓位的管理，最简单的方法就是风险大而盈利大，持仓数量减少；风险小而盈利大时，持仓数量增大；做短线交易时，持仓数量减少；做长线交易时，持仓数量视报酬/风险比而增加。
2、时机（如何进出）
在买卖贵金属投资品种时，如果资金量或持仓量比较大，投资者往往很难一次性交易完所要买卖的贵金属交易品种数量，于是就应该给自己规定一个交易时间和买卖价格的限制。
仓位和时机，这两个方面常常牵一发而动全身。当市场风险增大时，不仅投资品种仓位要作出调整，调整的时机也要同步考虑。
