做过股票的投资者都应该知道，国内规定的股票涨跌停板是控制在10%之内的，是证劵公司为了防止交易价格的暴涨暴跌所采取的一种交易制度。而在贵金属交易中，像现货黄金、现货白银都是没有规定的涨跌停板，但是黄金期货却不同，虽然其交割的时间没有限制，但是在交易的规则上却规定了涨跌停板的制度。
在金融危机后，全球货币贬值，美国量化宽松，欧洲债务危机，因此黄金投资变成投资者比起股票更为值得拥有的投资手段。而市场人士应该注意,黄金期货的风险管理措施十分严格的，依据合约文本,黄金期货最低交易保证金设定为合约价值的7%,上市交易初期暂定以9%地比例收取；基于全球金价波动较大地特征,黄金期货也有涨跌停幅度设置。
根据国内贵金属交易所的规定，黄金期货平时的涨跌停板为±3%。例前一日结算价为300元/克，则本日涨停板309元/克，跌停板为291元/克。但如果本日收盘前5分钟内，一直封住停板。则下一日涨跌停板扩大至±6%。如果下一日再封板，则第三日扩大至±9%。所以黄金的涨跌停板为 ±3%、±6%、±9%。
因此，相比于其他贵金属买卖来说，黄金期货的涨跌还是有所限制的，如果投资者想要利用更小的投资来获取较高的盈利的话，可以考虑伦敦金的投资，会比黄金期货的收益率更高，更大面积上利用资金来赚取盈利的最大化。
