黄金避险 战争时期将飙升
在历史上，黄金还不单单被视作是防范通货膨胀的手段，更被认为是种防止战乱、防范自然灾害的保险形式。与纸币不同，无论是在何种社会环境还是在某个国家，黄金均是一种价值交换的有效媒体，是一种不受当时当地的社会制度、经济环境影响的硬通货。
国际社会政治动荡、战争持续不断，终将会影响黄金生产量并造成黄金供给减少，促使金价上扬。当然也有因政局不稳，使大批投资者抛弃其他投资工具而转向黄金的投资保值者从而扩大了需求刺激金价持续上升的现象发生。例如第二次世界大战，l977～1978年的中东战争，1979年的伊朗革命，1980年的阿富汗战争，1986年伊朗门事件以及美国总统里根遇刺，海湾战争，特别是2001年9月11日在美国发生的恐怖事件及以后美国发动对阿富汗塔里班进行的战争，都曾使黄金价格在短时期内急剧上涨。
