黄绍山：美参议员欲限制特朗普
大田环球据新闻报道，有6名共和党参议员和4名民主党参议员共同提出法案，要求以“国家安全为理由”对征收的关税得到国会批准。而特朗普政府此前对外征收钢铝关税时也是使用相同的理由，同时在当地时间6月6日早上，特朗普致电给当中一位官员科克，并呼吁他立即放弃立法计划，而该官员科克表示将继续按自己的计划推进立法，并对最近特朗普征收关税具有追溯力。
多名官员表态
南卡罗莱纳共和党参议员格拉厄姆表示：自己从理智上同意科克的提议，但希望他能够给特朗普总统足够的空间，让他达成与其他国家较好的交易。
参议员共和党领袖麦康奈尔表示：试图控制特朗普总统的关税权利是徒劳且无益之举，参议员们应当说服总统不要在征收关税方面走得太远；此举暗示该官员不支持新法案。
而科克领导的一批共和党人员表示：削弱特朗普单方面惩罚贸易盟友的能力还需要过一段时间才能够成功，而参议员们正在质疑特朗普近期的关税行动，认为那些措施应当只应用于合法的国家安全担忧问题，但同时又希望总统在谈判过程中拥有强而有力的筹码。
大田环球黄绍山认为，由于特朗普过于激进的贸易政策，令到很多官员，包括美联储在内对潜在的风险性十分担忧，但在美国国民支持率方面，特朗普的支持率升至44%，相比此前4月份的40%支持率有所上升，但总体上仍然有半数以上美国民众十分不赞同其工作表现以及多方面的行为。
