香港一家专营胶粘剂的商店，一直生意平平，最近他们推出一种新的“强力万能胶水”。因为顾客的习惯心理依然，这种胶水的优点不被认识。正当 商店老板苦闷的时候，有一位朋友为老板出了一个近乎荒唐的点子，使销售 一下子猛增。
这个点子就是：店主用该胶水把一枚价值几千元的金币粘贴在墙上，并宣布谁能用手把这枚金币掰下来，金币便归其所有。一时，顾客云集，纷纷 一试身手。然而许多“壮士”在费尽九牛二虎之力以后，仍然只能“望墙兴叹”。
一日，来了位自诩“力拔千钧”的气功师，他专程来小试牛刀，只见他对着金币，站定敛神，气沉丹田，手掌对着金币发功，片刻过去，金币纹丝不动，可气功师自己却头冒黄汗，身体摇晃，观者纷纷取笑。就这样，这种胶水的良好性能被广泛宣扬，商店走上兴隆之路。
