自由职业者要买社保做投资吗？
自由职业者为自己打工，没有单位，可以买社保吗？当然可以。我在这个行业已经很多年了，我有一些建议可以和你们分享。社会保险是一个统称，它里面含有了多种保险类型，含有“五险”，分别是养老、医疗、工伤、失业、女工生育保险。 养老保险是省级统筹其余四个保险项目由市级统筹。省级统筹和市级统筹的保险，由不同的机构负责收费，目前这两大机构没有并网，所以要分开缴付的。
自由职业者要如何买保险好呢？在五种保险中，最有用的是养老保险，其次是医疗保险，这两种保险被广泛接受，每个人都能使用，其他三种保险只有个别人享受，比如女工生育保险，如果你是男性，这类保险的用处比较小。实际上劳动局也只是要求自由职业者购买养老保险和医疗保险即可，不用购买五项险种。下面是2018年上海市的一份社保收费标准。大家可以看看。
从图中可以发现，在最低缴费标准下，一年下来，自由职业者只购买这两项保险，也需要2万多块，这也是一笔不小的支出。但是从长远来看，这还是很划算的，你在商业保险中，找不到一种像社保一样划算的保险。购买了社保之后，15年退休后，就可以领取养老金，现在购买社保也是为以后年老的生活做打算。
我说的多了一点，一句话，按自由职业者的下限支付就行了。购买城镇居民社保，这是目前对个人最有利的政策，缴费少，报销比例也不低了。至于商业保险，其原则是有钱就买，没钱还是老老实实买城镇居民医疗保险吧！
