美国3月份消费者信心高于预期，且创下6年新高，主要反映美国消费者对未来景气展望感到乐观。经济咨商理事会(The Conference Board)25日公布，3月份消费者信心指数自前期的78.3点上升至82.3点(1985基期=100)，此为2008年1月以来之最。据路透社调查，经济学家原预估信心指数为78.6点。消费者信心调查是由经济咨商理事会委托市场研究机构Nielsen随机抽样调查，调查截止日为3月14日。报告显示，当月消费者现况指数月减0.6点至80.4点；期望指数上升7点至83.5点。
问券调查显示，受访者对当前景气感受变化不大，看好者比例由前月的21.2%微幅上升至22.9%，然而看坏者比例亦自22%上升至23.2%。在未来6个月景气预期方面，看好景气好转比例自前期的17.3%上升至18.1%，预期景气会恶化者自13.6%下滑至10.2%；认为「工作机会很多」者自13.7%上升至13.9%，认为「工作难找」自20.9%下滑至18%；预期收入会增加者比例自15.8%下滑至14.9%，预期收入减少者自13.4%下滑至12.1%。
