美国商务部25日公布，2月份新屋销售年率月减3.3%、年减1.1%至44万户，创下5个月新低，且不及路透社调查预估的44.5万户。除此之外，1月数据也自原先的46.8万户下修至45.5万户。
全美四大地区好坏落差极大，东北部显然受气候不佳影响而大减32.4%，与此同时中西部则是大增36.7%。另外，西部、南部地区分别月减15.9%与1.5%。截至2月底新屋库存为18.9万栋，稍高与前月的18.8万栋，周转天期为5.2个月高于前期的5个月。尽管如此，一般认为周转天期需达6个月才能维持市场供需平衡。
新屋成交价中间值自前月的26.08万美元上扬至26.18万美元，但低于去年同期的26.51万美元，年减率达1.2%，为2012年6月以来最大减幅。
