美国2014年1月消费者信心指数下滑 低于预估

路透社/密歇根大学17日公布,1月消费者信心指数初值意外自前月的82.5下滑至80.4,低于经济学家预估的83.5。

路透社报导,密大信心调查首席经济学家Richard Curtin指出,高所得家庭持续受惠于股市、房市的回升,相较之下,中低收入家庭对于就业与薪资停滞不前似乎感到忧虑,且对于长期经济改善也不抱太大期待。

现况分项指数自前月的98.6下滑至95.2点。消费者现况分项指数通常与股市、就业市场具有高度关联性,也反映出美国众对自身财务状况与是否进行大额采购的看法。

对于未来6个月景气看法的消费者期望指数,自前月的72.1下滑至70.9;一年期通膨率预估持平于3%;5至10年期通膨率预期自2.7%上升至2.9%。

密大消费者信心指数自1978年公布迄今,美国共计历经5次衰退,经济萎缩期间信心指数平均值为69.3。最近一次经济衰退为期18个月并于2009年6月结束,期间指数平均为64.2,而此前5年指数平均值为89。
