初领失业金人数增幅低于预期

美国劳工部10月3日公布，经季节调整后，截至9月28日为止当周，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周修正值增加1,000人至308,000人。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为增加至31.5万人，预估区间介于30-33.5万人之间。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周修正值减少3,750人至305,000人，则是创下2007年5月以来新低。
截至9月21日为止当周，经季节调整后，连续申请失业救济金人数较前一周的修正值增加104,000人至2,925,000人。当周连续申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前一周的修正值减少4,750人至2,837,250人。截至9月21日为止当周，经过季节性因素调整后的保险失业率较前周增加0.1个百分点成为2.3%。
彭博社报导，TD Securities USA LLC美国利率研究主管Millan Mulraine表示，美国劳动市场从失业的层面来看已经有较为明显的改善，企业较能够维持现有的职位，裁员的情况已经减少。国际知名人力资源机构Challenger, Gray and Christmas Inc.当日稍早公布的数据显示，2013年9月份美国企业宣告裁员人数较前月（50,462人）减少20%至40,289人。
