美国财长：国会对举债上限太淡定

据MarketWatch.com 24日报导,根据美银美林证券在9月13日所做的调查,“利率上扬”、“美国财政政策疑虑”目前并列债券投资人头号疑虑。当被问到美国10年期公债殖利率必须升至哪个水位才会引发债市恐慌时,多数人点名“3.5-4.0%”。在上次调查(7月13日)当中,债券投资人最担心的是“利率上扬”,其次是中国经济情势。
美国财长Jacob Lew 24日在Bloomberg Markets 50高峰会上受访时表示,国会迄今尚未针对美国即将触及举债上限采取任何因应行动。他说,自5月起美国财政部就已经动用紧急措施来避免触及上限,预估10月中旬将会耗尽所有可动用资源。
华盛顿邮报部落格24日报导,Markit的报价显示,美国公债信用违约交换合约(CDS)价差23日大幅飙高、创今年5月底以来新高。华邮指出,2011年触及举债上限之前,美国两党已经进行好几个月的协商,但这一回欧巴马(Barack Obama)总统则是明白表示举债上限应该自动调高、不该成为协商议题。
此外,2011年代表共和党与民主党协商的两位大老,众议院议长John boehner、参议院少数党领袖Mitch McConnell,现在要不叫不动同党议员、要不正面临茶党的初选挑战。
