美国初请失业金30.9万人优于预期

美国劳工部9月19日公布，经季节调整后，截至9月14日为止当周，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周修正值增加15,000人至309,000人。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为33万人。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周修正值减少7,000人至314,750人，则是创下2007年10月以来新低。
截至9月7日为止当周，经季节调整后，连续申请失业救济金人数较前一周的修正值减少28,000人至2,787,000人。当周连续申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前一周的修正值减少54,000人至2,885,000人。截至9月7日为止当周，经过季节性因素调整后的保险失业率较前周减少0.1个百分点成为2.1%。
美国劳工部官员表示，美国加州和内华达州从9月开始对劳工系统的计算机网络进行升级，导致一些申请失业救济的申请被延迟处理，这些被延迟的申请在未来几周可能还会将初领失业金人数推高。
金融危机虽然已经逐渐消退，但其对年轻人的影响可能还将持续更长的时间。耶鲁大学的经济学家卡恩最近的一项调查发现，在上世纪80年代衰退过后，失业率每上升一个百分点，大学毕业生起薪就会下降6%-7%。在毕业15年后，那些在经济状况不佳时期毕业的人群的薪资仍低于在经济状况较好时期毕业的可比人群。
