财政刺激计划无望，金价持续下跌

10月16日，市场对美国在总统大选前就经济刺激计划达成新协议的预期不断减弱，降低了黄金作为对冲工具的吸引力，间接提振了美元指数，黄金预料估计持续下跌。
美国民主党人和共和党人似乎不太可能在大选日之前就刺激协议达成一致，尽管新增病例数继续上升，劳动力市场复苏停滞不前。
美国众议院议长佩洛西告诉民主党同僚，虽然和白宫接近就新冠病毒检测项目达成共识，但双方在刺激方案的其他许多领域都存有分歧。制定国家性的病毒检测策略一直是佩洛西及其助手本周与财政部长姆努钦会谈中遇到的障碍。预计姆努钦将在未来几天前往中东，这进一步表明选举前刺激方案不会出台，尽管双方都表示会继续努力。
美国总统特朗普的经济顾问拉里·库德洛称，即使财政部长史蒂文·姆努钦和众议院议长南希·佩洛西能就刺激方案达成协议，议员们也很难“执行”协议。
分析师称，由于全球疫情仍然在发展，对一些国家再次封城等的担忧使得投资者处于观望中。短期由于美国刺激项目一直没能出现，黄金承压。但长期而言，通胀会升温，黄金会获得提振。
分析师指出，美国政府无法达成协议，这使得市场出现了更多波动。黄金被陷于震荡区域内，金价要涨至1950上方或者1850美元/盎司下方才能确定新的方向。
