美股涨势暂缓，欧洲央行超预期购债

由于美元持续三个月保持低位，同时欧洲央行宣布，所购买的债券规模远超于于其，市场的风险偏好降温，避险情绪升温，同时欧美股市的上涨较为艰难，也提振了黄金的避险需求，现货黄金出现明显上涨。
欧洲央行宣布将大流行病紧急资产购买计划(PEPP)扩大6000亿欧元，高于市场预期的5000亿欧元，使其总规模达到1.35亿欧元。欧央行决议称，PEPP至少延长至2021年6月，并将在2022年年底前将重新投资PEPP债券。欧洲央行指出，无论如何，欧洲央行都将在紧急抗疫购债计划下进行净资产购买，直到判断出疫情危机已经结束。分析师表示，欧洲央行扩大其债券购买计划“对黄金是大利好”；他谈到最近的价格下跌时说：“任何回调都是买入机会”。
分析师称：“对欧洲央行扩大刺激政策规模的最初反应是积极的，风险资产普遍上扬，黄金价格走软，但其债权投资计划可能意味着这将是金融市场看到的最后一次大举扩大刺激规模的行动了。
COMEX 8月黄金期货收涨22.60美元，涨幅1.3%，报1724.40美元/盎司。标普500指数有望五天来首日下跌，因投资者在经济快速复苏预期和贸易纷争加剧等风险之间进行权衡。纽市尾盘，纳指、标普500指数一度跌逾1%，道指跌近190点。
美国4月贸易逆差大幅扩大，因新冠疫情打击了全球商品和服务流动，将美国出口推至10年来最低水平。该数据重新点燃了人们对经济放缓的担忧。美元指数也持于约三个月最低水平附近，使得黄金对持有其他货币的投资者来说更便宜。
分析师指出，如果美股转而下跌，黄金价格都将获得提振。事实上，整个大宗商品中，黄金无疑是最为显眼的一个；在激进的财政和货币刺激下，黄金会成为最可能获益的资产。全球经济陷入衰退中可能把黄金推至历史高位即1900上方；另外，贸易问题也是能够利好黄金的因素。
