黃金美元有望同時上漲，但美元仍需警惕風險

有分析師指出，目前市場對經濟增長的樂觀預期以及世界其他地區仍有著較高的利率，意味著美元依舊有著足夠的動力在2020年呈上漲趨勢，雖然在2019年底跌至低點，但美國經濟活動仍在引領西方世界，美元有望進一步加強。
一個粗略的共識估計顯示，經濟學家預計美國經濟明年將增長2%左右。與此同時，歐洲經濟明年預計將增長約1%。
分析師表示，“美國經濟料將穩健增長，而世界其他地區則在苦苦掙扎。2020年我仍然青睞美元。”
分析師認為，雖然美元在2020年有足夠的動能升至100大關，但他預計美元不會突破這一主要阻力位。還指出，美元走強更多地與全球經濟疲軟有關，而與國內經濟實力無關。他表示：“找到其他貨幣來購買變得越來越難。美國經濟處於最好的位置，這對美元有利。”
全球貨幣市場需要看到一些更高的通脹壓力。世界各國的央行都在維持極度寬鬆的貨幣政策，以刺激通貨膨脹。如果價格開始上漲，那麼預期就會開始轉向收緊貨幣政策。然而這種情況仍有很長的路要走。
儘管美元一直是黃金的主要不利因素，但隨著2019年金價在美元觸及兩年高點之際升至6年高點，美元的影響有所減弱。
許多大宗商品分析師指出，由於不確定性預計將成為金融市場的主旋律，黃金和美元可能同時上漲。
其他大宗商品分析師指出，在全球近70%的政府債券都處於負值的環境下，不管外匯市場上發生了什麼，黃金都成了寶貴的避險選擇。
