12月11日，美国公布了市场比较关注的11月末季调CPI数据，数据表现符合市场预期，现货黄金的波动相对有限，但由于之前基本面信息影响，金价目前保持高位的震荡，同时也在等待美联储决议的信息。
具体数据显示，美国11月未季调CPI年率实际公布2.1%，预期2.0%，前值1.8%。

美国CPI的主要利率是作为核心PCE指标及其对美联储利率政策的影响的一个指标。在过去的一年里，美国整体CPI略有下降。截至10月的12个月平均为1.79%，从2018年11月至2019年4月的6个月平均为1.85%，为1.73%。从去年11月的2.2%到今年2月的1.5%，今年的增长幅度为0.7%，但这两个数据都来自上半年，而5月至10月的下半年增长幅度仅为1.6%至1.8%。
调查发现，未来三年通胀预期中值上升了0.1个百分点，至2.5%。未来12个月的通胀预期小幅上升0.02个百分点，至2.4%。从2013年开始的调查显示，10月份这两种通胀前景都处于一系列低点。
美联储官员今年曾三次下调利率，以使美国经济免受全球经济放缓、与中国旷日持久的贸易战以及商业投资下滑等潜在风险的影响。自上次降息以来，几位政策制定者一直强调通胀过低的风险，并暗示愿意让通胀率高于2%，以满足美联储的对称通胀目标。
政策制定者一再暗示，除非经济前景出现严重恶化，否则目前处于1.5%至1.75%目标区间的利率可能暂时维持不变。美联储官员在本周政策会议上按兵不动的可能性在上周的就业报告出炉后有所上升。美国11月新增就业岗位26万6千个，超过预期，使失业率降至50年来的最低点。
调查发现，员工对自己的支付能力更有信心。在未来三个月里，错过最低还款额的平均几率从上个月的11.6%降至11月份的11.3%。家庭收入增长预期从10月份的2.8%上升到11月份的2.9%。
