黃金破位創新高，黃金價格預期上調

全球降息週期來臨，黃金破位讓部分投資者十分興奮，眾多黃金投資產品的價格創下新高，同時部分投資機構將對黃金下半年的價格預期做出上調，金價將進一步受到刺激。
大多數新興市場貨幣計價的黃金價格都遠高於歷史高點，而且自2015年末以美元計價的黃金價格觸底以來一直如此。以英鎊和加元計價的黃金價格距離歷史高位已不到3%，以日元計價不到5%。美元計價黃金是最後幾種未創新高的主要貨幣的其中之一。
分析師表示，這表明並非是黃金在上漲，而是世界各地的法定貨幣在慢慢消亡；與其他貨幣不同的是，美元代表了對法定貨幣制度的信念，換句話說，是對中央銀行能力的信心。而從非美貨幣計價的黃金走勢可以看出，問題未必是黃金是否恢復牛市，而是美元的長期熊市是否會惡化。這個問題很大程度上取決於今年夏季歐元的表現。
分析師們表示，由於在英國脫歐困局面前歐洲央行鴿派政策立場所能發揮的作用會相形見絀，英鎊兌歐元匯率將會跌至2017年來不曾有過的水準；據摩根大通預測，英鎊到年底有可能跌至0.92英鎊兌換1歐元，相比當前貶值約3%，並創出21個月來的最低紀錄。針對英鎊的這種悲觀情緒現已開始在期權市場行情中有所體現，英鎊看跌期權相對於看漲期權的成本溢價已經上行逼近4月份以來的最高水準。
伴隨來自首相地位角逐和10月脫歐大限的日益加大的壓力，英鎊兌歐元匯率本季度以來已大幅下挫。這種跌勢反映出了投資者對英國央行在經濟形勢發展與預期一致情況下可能不得不上調利率的政策立場的疑慮。事實上，當此全球經濟勢能減緩之際，市場行情反映出的，反倒是英國央行明年降息的可能。
由於美聯儲偏鴿，美元貶值以及不確定的宏觀經濟前景，都增加了黃金的吸引力，黃金升至該行未來半年的首選大宗商品；分析師表示，實際收益率接近於零將減少對美元資產的需求，並可能增加對黃金的需求。
預計美聯儲7月降息50個基點，相當於10年期TIPS實際收益率降至年底的0.2％，如果美聯儲提供的寬鬆政策超出預期，將進一步下行。
