关税影响经济增长，市场预计降息三次

美联储官员表示，美联储正在接近其政策目标，美国经济处于向好发展趋势，足以应对市场挑战。同时市场美联储也在观察消费者和商业信心疲软的迹象，市场上的一些经济放缓现象已经明显减少。
美联储坚持依赖数据的准则，持续评估形势，对当前情况注重保持经济扩张，通胀率为2%，需要让通胀回到并且持稳于2%的水平。在其让通胀缩小前，已经下调中性失业率的预期 。
此外，在贸易局势方面，据央视报道，近日，代表美国150多家行业协会的贸易组织“关税伤害美国腹地”发表声明，强烈反对“对中国输美商品加征关税”。该组织指出，关税是由购买中国产品的美国进口商支付给美国海关的费用；加征关税只会惩罚美国农民、企业和消费者。
受到贸易震荡的影响，美元承压下行，本周一（5月15日）美元指数触及四周最低水平，逼近97大关。但一些分析师认为，在避险走高的情况下，美元会走强。
分析师表示，市场本来预期的是“金发姑娘市场”，但很显然这种预期是错的；在这种情况下，做多美元兑阿根廷比索或者美元兑土耳其里拉等新兴市场货币。
市场波动也在大幅升高，摩根大通全球外汇波动指数上周大涨16%。而本周一“恐慌指数”VIX也大幅上升，涨幅近30%；尽管在市场对美联储降息预期越来越大的情况下，美元指数似乎有触顶的迹象，但在市场有浓厚避险情绪的情况下，分析师们认为美元会受到提振。
本周以来因市场风险情绪的快速升温，黄金市场受益，而市场对美联储政策的走向预期也出现了一些变化；目前从联邦基金期货来看，今年年末利率可能降至2.075%，较目前的联邦基金利率水平低了差不多25个基点。这表明了市场已经计入年末美联储降息的可能。
而从欧洲美元期权市场的表现来看，市场甚至预计今年可能有三次25个基点的降息，在贸易风险为市场带来大量不确定因素的情况下，市场对美国经济增长面临极大困境有所预期，并且认为衰退到来的可能性增加； 另外，美国债券收益率也受到影响，本周一2年期美国国债收益率逼近此前在三月触及的今年低点。
