分析师在周一发表的一份研究报告中表示，根据过去六个紧缩周期的数据表明，金价与美国利率之间的相关性在于，金价在美联储加息四次后将获得超额收益。
上周，美联储于年内首度加息，将新基准利率上调至1.75%。在新任美联储主席鲍威尔首次主持的会议上，部分美联储委员也暗示，未来加息的路径可能更为激进。
市场目前预计，美联储2018年将有三次加息，这也是美联储的基准预测。此外，美联储还预计在明后两年至少每年增加了一次加息。
预测今年将有四次加息。尽管该银行的分析师承认，其乐观的黄金预测可能看起来有违直觉，但它指出，过去紧缩周期的数据是对贵金属价格持乐观态度的原因。
