全球最大独立石油贸易商维多公司执行长Ian Taylor表示，未来几个季度布伦特原油将保持在每桶40-55美元区间，因美国产量上升使市场再平衡的步伐放缓。
“所有人此前都预期市场将实现再平衡，第二季度库存会下降。根据宏观分析，这种情况应该开始出现了，”Taylor接受路透采访时称，“但迄今为止这种情况并未出现，所有人都犯了同样的错误。”
有些机构表示，原油价格可能已经触底并会上涨。BMI Research表示：“我们相信，原油跌势已经过度，布伦特原油已做好反弹准备。”
根据波浪型态和费波纳奇比率分析，布伦特原油期货或下滑至每桶42.94美元，之后将逆转跌势并在三个月后涨向50.99美元。
