加拿大国家统计局周四（10月22日）公布的数据显示，加拿大8月零售销售月率高于预期，并为连续第四个月录得正值，受益于机动车与零配件销售增加。
具体数据显示，加拿大8月零售销售月率为0.5%，高于预期值0.1%，但低于上修后的前值0.6%。扣除机动车与零配件的零售销售月率为0%。而以零售销售量衡量，8月零售销售环比增长0.7%。
另外，新车零售销售环比增长1.7%，因新卡车销售增加，特别是在魁北克与安大略。二手车销售环比大增5.5%。机动车与零配件整体环比增加2%。
家具、食品与饮料等行业的零售销售均有所改善。但是，汽油零售销售环比下滑0.6%，并为连续第二个月下滑。
同时公布的加拿大8月核心零售销售月率为0%，低于预期值0.1%，但与前值一致。
