欧洲方面，因能源股扩大跌幅，欧洲股市周二（10月20日）在触及五周高位后收低。
泛欧绩优股FTSEurofirst 300指数收低0.45%，欧元区绩优股Euro STOXX 50指数也跌0.5%。英股富时100指数收低0.11%，报6345.13点，法国CAC 40指数下跌0.64%，收报4673.81点。德股DAX指数收低0.16%，报10147.68点。
亚太地区股市周二(10月20日)也全线下挫，MSCI明晟亚太地区(除日本)指数小跌0.4%，韩股跌0.1%，日经225指数则逆势小涨0.3%，澳洲股市跌0.4%。
